Hello, I am here to help spread the word about Urban trauma. I don't want to only spread the word, but I want to be an active part of the solution to the problem. I am not a professional psychiatrist or anything like that, but I am a person who has suffered from (and still carry the effects of) Urban trauma. I'd like to share my story with you as I go on my journey to healing. Hopefully, others can start to find healing for themselves and their families along the way. Thank you for your visit.
Let's Get Cookin'!
One way that I learned how to deal with the chaotic social situation that I was in was to cook with my mom! I started cooking when I was six years old; chopping vegetables with my own special knife. Cooking has always been a great way for our family to get together, even if for a little while, and enjoy one another's company.
We would like to offer times of cooking and/or baking to small groups of inner-city youths in order to connect and have a safe place to share and give of our culinary talents.
If you know of a church, school, etc., that would be willing to host some of these events, please contact me at RoxiesBakedGoods@gmail.com. Thank you!
